Collection: Rupert Peploe
Rupert Peploe comes from a distinguished artistic family, with connections to Scottish Colourist Samuel J. Peploe, sculptor Fitzgerald Peploe and landscape artist Thomas Peploe Wood. Based in Bristol, he has long combined a career in the antiques trade with his passion for painting and drawing.
Working in oils with brushes and palette knives, Rupert explores colour and form through expressive landscapes and still lifes. His work draws inspiration from artists including Paul Henry and Tom Thomson, reflecting a particular appreciation for the atmosphere and character of the natural world.
