Collection: Andrew Matheson RBSA

Andrew Matheson, born in Edinburgh, is a respected ceramic artist and graduate of Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen. Since 1981, he has created handcrafted pottery using locally sourced materials, producing distinctive stoneware and porcelain pieces, with a workshop in Lichfield, Staffordshire.

Specialising in hand-thrown ceramics, Andrew’s work is reduction fired to 1280°C, creating rich textures, depth, and unique glaze effects that define his signature style. 

Andrew is a member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists (RBSA) and has exhibited extensively in galleries throughout the United Kingdom. His work is held in both public and private collections, reflecting decades of dedication to his craftsmanship.
