Collection: Tony Griffin
Tony was born in Glasgow in 1963 and worked as an electrician for many years in Scotland and Canada before deciding to take up his first love of painting.
After studying for two years at the Ontario College of Art in Toronto, he then studied at the Glasgow School of Art graduating with a BA Hons in Fine Art Painting.
Tony has exhibited in Glasgow, Edinburgh and London with his minimalist text paintings. More recently, he has returned to a more painterly, impressionistic style, which lends itself perfectly to his chosen subject of cityscape and landscape painting.
His travels have also led him on that well trodden path to the light and heat of the Mediterranean, which poses an altogether different challenge and a thorough investigation of vibrant colour relationships.
We are delighted to show Tony’s beautiful paintings here at The Torrance Gallery.
