Michael P. Young

Ceramic works by Michael P. Young, a Scottish artist whose practice is shaped by a background in fine art, design, and silversmithing.

A graduate of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee, Young’s early training in drawing, painting, and metalwork informs his considered approach to material and form. After a successful career in graphic design and teaching, he returned to fine art practice in 2009, exhibiting regularly in respected Scottish exhibitions.

His ceramic works reflect this broad creative foundation, combining clarity of form with a strong sense of composition and material understanding.
