Alison Jardine

Alison is a Scottish glass artist who creates bespoke glass vessels, wall hangings and sculptures in her Edinburgh studio.

Alison has always been fascinated by glass and its unique properties, how it can be the ultimate shape changer, morphing from one state to another and back again. Using these properties and a formula of heat, gravity and time she controls the flow of molten glass in the kiln, manipulating line, colour and form. This approach to her craft produces vessels inspired by the Scottish coastline that reflect the relationship between land, sea and sky.
