Alan Cameron

Alan Cameron (1934–2025) was a Scottish painter whose work was deeply rooted in observation, place and the changing character of the landscape. Working across painting and original pastel, he developed a distinctive and quietly expressive approach to the Scottish landscape and the places that surrounded him.

The Torrance Gallery is proud to represent Alan Cameron's work in Edinburgh, continuing to make his paintings and original pastels available to collectors and ensuring that his work remains part of the gallery's programme.

A changing selection of Cameron's work will be on display at the gallery as part of an ongoing retrospective spanning his career, with further works available to view on request.
