Collection: Jackie Philip
Jacqueline Philip is a Scottish artist born in Edinburgh in 1961. She studied Fine Art at Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen, Wimbledon School of Art in London (BA Hons, First Class), and the Royal Academy Schools, London (MFA). Since graduating, she has worked as a professional painter and has also lectured internationally in London, Florence, and Auckland.
Philip creates still-life and landscape paintings using raw pigment and oil on canvas, building richly layered surfaces that emphasise colour, light, and luminosity. Her work is shaped by a wide range of cultural influences, inspired by travels throughout Southeast Asia and Europe, as well as her deep connection to Scotland.
Her paintings have been exhibited extensively in the UK and internationally, and are held in corporate and private collections across the UK, Italy, Barbados, the Americas, Hong Kong, and Australasia. Over the course of her career, she has received several prestigious awards and scholarships, including the Italian Government Scholarship, the British Institute Fund, and the RSA Hospitalfield Award and Residency.
Alongside her painting practice, Philip’s work reflects a broader interest in healing and spiritual disciplines. She is also a certified practitioner and mentor, with qualifications in The Helix Method, Akashic Records, and Traditional Thai Massage.
